Merrell & Associates, Inc., originated in 1952. That’s when R. Ellis Merrell installed his first heating and cooling system in Carrollton, GA. With that job, he established not only a heating and air conditioning company but also a tradition of excellence that we maintain to this very day.
Our History
In 1979, Merrell & Associates was formed and established as a leading HVAC Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer (FAD). We’ve been a FAD for over 45 years, placing us in the nation’s top five percent of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and heating contractors. Today, our family-owned and operated heating and air conditioning company is the most respected and client-focused indoor comfort service provider in West Georgia. What’s more, the family that owns Merrell were all born and raised in the Western Georgia area.

We were also one of the first HVAC contractors nationwide to receive the Carrier Comfort Distinguished Dealer Award for outstanding performance. Merrell & Associates has been awarded the 40-Year Carrier Award by our distributor and, most recently, the 2022 & 2023 Carrier Presidents Awards. We are diligently devoted to installing and maintaining quality heating and cooling systems for our customers in Carrollton, GA, and the surrounding areas. In addition, our involvement in the community is of the utmost importance. Habitat for Humanity is near and dear to our hearts, and we’ve been lucky enough to partner with them for several projects. Education is also a major initiative we’ve supported- sponsoring several local school events.
We are a member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and the Conditioned Air Association of Georgia, which promotes high ethical standards and cutting-edge technologies.
